Q: What product did Bill Gates sell to IBM (and retain the rights to market and license separately) for its release of the original Personal Computer in 1981.

A: The product was MS-DOS, but what made the deal so remarkable was that Bill Gates convinced IBM to let Microsoft retain the rights to MS-DOS and market it separately from the IBM PC.

Now, if you are still using MS-DOS, or perhaps Windows XP, this week brought us the first instances of why it is important to keep your systems updated and patched with the latest exploit for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer application.

The winner of the $25 Amazon gift card has yet to be confirmed but will be posted on our official winners page. Thanks to everyone that entered
